For this project I was inspired by a Video installation with called "CrossFire", hense the name of my project, in which i mention in a couple blogs ago. It really inspired me to do something intimidating and to really get into people’s heads. My installation are videos surrounding the viewer and consists of anonymous people talking "shit" to you in a dark surrounding. My mission was give the viewer a intimidating and mean feeling on top of some sort of humor because of the content of the words used in the piece. It was interesting to compile two completely different feelings that makes the viewer confused and gives them a disturbing feeling at the same time. I was also inspired by my ethnic background of being a black male and just hearing people of the same race or just same environment talk down about eachother and giving negative feedback. Not wanting to see eachother succeed and it seems as if we are crabs in a bucket, always bringing eachother down. Even if it is just words, it could hurt a person. The being surrounded in the dark is to make the viewer feel kind of trapped and is sort of corner and would have to back out of it to get away. It’s definitely up

My second Idea came to mind with something that is and always have been a problem, Racism and inequality. What I wanted to do was video interview different genders and races and ask them certain questions about how they experienced racism on some type of inequality and they would give an answer. What I want to do with the videos of the people in them is make some type of collage of there faces and they would all be one person, I would also mix their responses all in one.

First Person Video Installation. Walking around campus and people walking the opposite way are giving you bad looks and you could basically hear everything that they are thinking about you and they are judging you.
